Ingredients

  • 4 Better Than a Bistro Filet Mignon steaks (8 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups baby bella mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Truffle Butter

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ teaspoon truffle oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  • Make the Truffle Butter: Mix softened butter with truffle oil, salt, pepper, and parsley. Roll in parchment paper and chill.
  • Cook the Filets: Pat steaks dry and season with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat. Sear 3–4 minutes per side, then add butter and baste until desired doneness (130 °F / 54 °C for medium-rare).
  • Prepare Mushrooms: In a separate pan, sauté mushrooms and garlic in a bit of butter until golden and tender.
  • Finish & Serve: Top each filet with a slice of truffle butter and spoon mushrooms alongside.
