Ingredients
- 4 Better Than a Bistro Filet Mignon steaks (8 oz each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups baby bella mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Truffle Butter
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- ½ teaspoon truffle oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon cracked black pepper
- 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions
- Make the Truffle Butter: Mix softened butter with truffle oil, salt, pepper, and parsley. Roll in parchment paper and chill.
- Cook the Filets: Pat steaks dry and season with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat. Sear 3–4 minutes per side, then add butter and baste until desired doneness (130 °F / 54 °C for medium-rare).
- Prepare Mushrooms: In a separate pan, sauté mushrooms and garlic in a bit of butter until golden and tender.
- Finish & Serve: Top each filet with a slice of truffle butter and spoon mushrooms alongside.
